How It Works

What We Do

The SongHunters are led by the experience, passion, and vigor of NYC-based Dave Hnatiuk and David Weiss, who are co-founders of www.musicsupervision101.com and authors of the book, "Music Supervision: The Complete Guide to Selecting and Licensing Music & Sound Design for Media".

We will search for, seek, and negotiate within your budget the perfect song for your production, no matter what your deadline may be.

How We Get Paid

Our fee is paid from the artist side. It is a percentage of the sync licensing fee that the artist receives (typically 30%).

Our Experience

From million-dollar budgets to a hundred dollar shoe-strings, Dave Hnatiuk has placed songs for ABC's All My Children, One Life to Live, World News Tonight, The View, NBC's Football Night in America, The Super Bowl, Sony Classix Films, Merchant Ivory, New Line Cinema, Weinstein Company, Fox News Channel's The O'Reilly Factor, Your World with Neil Cavuto, The Fox Report, Hannity & Colmes, as well as MTV's America's Best Dance Crew, Fantasy Factory, Nitro Circus, and many, many more to come.

How We Work

The SongHunters is not a music library or stock music. We are at the head of a fast-moving, professional network that takes advantage of our extremely deep industry contacts.

With hundreds of major and independent song placements over the last decade under his belt, Dave Hnatiuk, and The SongHunters co-founder David Weiss tap into music suppliers, labels, publishers, producers, songwriters, artists, and bands globally on a daily basis. We search out & audition the right songs, at the right price, in the right genres... constantly building our list of resources for hits-of-the-future, for your placement needs.
